From an eclectic menagerie of animals to political and controversial creative statements, there’s never a dull moment at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition.
Following Grayson Perry’s curated record-breaking 250th Summer show, you might be right in thinking that anything that follows would dull in comparison, but you’d be wrong! This exhibition never fails to disappoint. It’s the quality of the curation that goes into it, but it mainly comes down to standard of submissions they receive year on year.
One of the worlds largest open submission art show, it brings together art in all mediums, celebrating the talent of new and emerging artists alongside more established artists and RA Fellows. Highlight artists to look out for include Banksy (as you walk in, can’t miss him), Charles Avery, Tracey Emin RA, Anthony Gormley RA and Mat Colishaw.
