Well, hello July! The months have rolled by, and here we are in the middle of a sweltering Summer, and the competitions are heating up.
There’s a HUGE mix of competitions, open calls and residencies to go for in July. Highlights this month include the RAW Labs residency at Bow Arts, where you get to work with the community and education programme, have a rent free work space for a few months and receive an artist fee to create new work and use on your residency.
Another one to get excited about if you’re a recent graduate is the newly created Elephant x Griffin Art Prize. As well as a lovely £5,000 cash prize, you will also get artistic support for your practice, help with studio rent fees and a tonne of fine art materials from Winsor & Newton, Liquitex and Conté à Paris. Not bad eh?!
