I read this article the other day in YOU Magazine, and I finally felt validated for feeling lack lustered and optimistic at the same time towards the term: Internship, and gaining the valuable experience you need to get you that job!
‘Having graduated into a depressed job market, tens of thousands of bright young people have discovered their degree is worthless – while experience is priceless. Unfortunately, gaining that experience means working for free (or for a very low wage) – and even then there are no guarantees.
All too often, internships don’t lead to a paid job. In fact, there is growing concern that internships are actually replacing paid jobs.
